雀鳥檔雲集的康樂街，即著名的「雀仔街」，因市區重建而於1997年中清拆。
為保留這世界知名的香港特色景點，政府把園圃街附近一幅用地發展為主題花園，命名「園圃街雀鳥花園」。

The bird market or "bird garden" has been in existance since 1997 when the Urban Renewal Authority set aside 300 square metres for its development as a way of improving the environment in the crowded Mongkok district. Dozens of bird stalls are scattered throughout the garden sharing the space with landscaped sitting areas.

佔地約3,000平方米的園圃街雀鳥花園約有70個攤檔，售賣各類雀鳥、鳥籠及飼料等。花園採用中國亭園式建築，優美雅致，吸引不少遊人及雀鳥愛好者前來參觀。

 Yuen Po Street Bird Garden is an area of ​​about 3,000 square meters. It has about 70 stalls which sells all kinds of birds, bird cage and feed. Garden adopted Chinese garden pavilion-style buildings. They are beautiful and elegant. They attract many visitors and bird lovers come to visit.

雀鳥花園布局採用中式庭園設計，不少人都愛以鳥籠提着唱雀，到花園休憩。

The layout of Bird Garden is using Chinese garden design. A lot of people love to carry the bird cage and sit in the garden.

雀鳥花園商店的營業時間為每日上午7:00至晚上8:00。

The Yuen Po Street Bird Garden is open between 7am and 8pm daily.

從港鐵太子站B1出口，沿太子道西向旺角大球場方向步行15分鐘。

MTR Prince Edward Station Exit B1. Walk along Prince Edward Road west towards the Mongkok Stadium for about 15 minutes.
