DESTINATION 7: Tsim Sha Tsui Avenue of Stars

先問大家一條問題！你可唔可以數得出到現時為止總共睇過幾多部電影？十部？二十部？定三十部呀？……數唔出呢！放心，數唔出屬正常現象，但可以證明睇戲已經成為我地生活中不可或缺既一部份。

Let me ask you a question first! Can you count the total number of movies you have watched so far? Ten? Twenty? Or thirty? …… You can’t count, right? Don’t worry, it is a normal circumstance to everyone. But this shows watching movies already become an indispensable part of our lives.

要製作一部好既電影，除左要有出色既演員外，鏡頭後既工作人員都係不可忽視既！為左表揚香港電影界既傑出人士，推動香港旅遊業既發展同鞏固香港作為「亞洲國際都會」既地方，位於尖沙咀海濱長廊既香港星光大道係二零零四年四月二十八日正式開放比市民同全球旅客參觀！而我地今日就帶大家去遊覽一下星光大道啦！

To produce a good movie, except for having excellent actors and actresses, the staff that after the lens can’t be ignored. To pay tribute to outstanding professionals of Hong Kong's film industry, to promote tourism industry, and to consolidate Hong Kong's position as Asia's World City, the Avenue of Stars which is located at the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade was opened to the public and visitors from all over the world from 28 April 2004 onwards. Today we are going to guide all of you to visit Avenue of Stars.

星光大道係由新世界集團斥資四千萬港元興建，並得到旅遊事務署、香港旅遊發展局、康樂及文化事務署同香港電影金像獎協會鼎力支持同埋全面參與。

The Avenue of Stars is a HK$40 million project financed by the New World Group. The project is supported by Tourism Commission, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Leisure and Cultural Services Department, and the Hong Kong Film Awards Association Limited.

係星光大道既入口，豎立左一個身高4.5米既香港電影金像獎女神銅像。一身優雅既姿態，引領大家走入光影繽紛既電影世界。

At the entrance of the Avenue of Stars, a 4.5-meter tall Hong Kong Film Awards sculpture is located. An elegant posture, beckons all of you into this magical tribute to movies.

一路上，我地會見到好多明星掌印，到現時為止總共有107個。例如有︰

Along the way, we can see a lot of stars hand imprints, total 107 up to now. For example, there are

許冠傑先生既手印同簽名

the hand imprint and signature of Mr. Sam Hui

同埋許鞍華女士既手印同簽名。

and the hand imprint and signature of Ms. Ann Hui On Wah.

星光大道亦放左多尊造型同題材塑像，帶來多個理想既拍照熱點，包括有︰

There is a series of modeling and movie-related sculptures displayed at the Avenue, which is ideal for taking photos. Including

高約兩米『世紀之星李小龍』銅像、

a 2-metre tall "Star of The Century Bruce Lee" bronze statue,

麥兜銅像、

McDull bronze statue,

『香港女兒梅艷芳』銅像

"Daughter of Hong Kong -- Anita Mui" statue

同埋以電影為題材既雕塑。

and some movie-related sculptures.

到左夜晚，星光大道沿途設有特別既燈光效果，夜裡閃爍生輝，幻變成奪目星河。真係好靚架！

In the evening, the Avenue of Stars will be lit up. Its special lighting effect will turn the Avenue to a glittering galaxy. It is so beautiful!

而星光大道係有2個紀念品銷售站同4個流動銷售站，提供各種精美既紀念品同小食，方便每位參觀人士。

There are two kiosks and four mobile carts at the Avenue offering a wide range of souvenirs and light refreshment, convenient for every visitor.

星光大道的確係一個金光閃閃既地方，不論係朝早定夜晚。所以來到尖沙咀，記得行入去感受下喇！你會鍾意架！快d來啦！！！

The Avenue of Stars indeed a glittering and wonderful place whether morning or evening. Remember! When you come to Tsim Sha Tsui, go to have a walk and feel it. You will love it. Come Come Come!!!

The Avenue of Stars is located in an easily accessible section along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade next to the southern end of Salisbury Garden.
